Surf Guide Full Day

Jeffreys Bay has 9 different surf breaks in town, from the World famous Super Tubes to the fun Lower Point to gentle Kitchen Windows. There are thus waves for all levels of surfers and let a local surf guide with intimate knowledge of these waves get you to the best break on the day.

The client is collected from their accommodation and taken for two, two-hour session at the best wave on the day in Jeffreys Bay. This can also be a surfari to have a session at St Francis Bay or Cape St Francis.

The surf break is selected according to the client’s skill level and request. The guide will surf with the client pointing out the best entry and exit points and the best take off zones to catch waves.

Some surfing experience needed and group limited to three per guide.


The surf guide collects the client from their accommodation. Together they do a surf check and then decide on the clients ability and preference what break to surf. Before they paddle out the guide gives a break down of the surf break pointing out entry and exit points as well as the best take off zone markers. The guide paddles out with the client and they enjoy a two hour session together, with the guide pointing out approaching set waves and the best take off zones. After the session the guide enjoys a coffee and light lunch with the client at a local coffee shop to discuss the session and surfing in general. The client can then return to their accommodation for a rest before the afternoon session.After the afternoon session the client is returned to their accommodation.

For St Francis Bay/ Cape St Francis the client is collected from their accommodation and drive to either of the two breaks. After a two hour session the guide takes the client on a tour to see the famous Bruces Beauties, the amazing canal system of St Francis and the calamari port. You have lunch together and the return to J-Bay.



Transport from accommodation and back. Surfboard and wetsuit. If a client has their own they are welcome to use it. Local surf guide.


Bathing costume, sun block, snacks/water.


Clothing, warm top on cooler days, sunblock and water. Money for lunch.


Comfortable clothing and swim wear


Ability to paddle out into the surf break and catch waves


Some intermediate to competent surfing skills. Surf break is chosen according to clients ability.

All surf lessons are weather dependent. If the wind is to strong, waves to big or small, the guide may postpone or cancel the lesson due to safety considerations. If a client has any injury or medical condition that could effect their surfing ability they need to inform the instructor before hand. For this lesson certain surfing conditions are needed and we will inform the client if on their chosen day the conditions are suitable. Cancellation policy

Any cancellations less than 12 Hrs before rental booking will receive no refund. Cancellations from before 12 Hours and 7 days will receive a 50% refund. A full refund will be done before 7 days excluding an admin fees. If lessons are cancelled by the instructor, due to bad weather or surfing conditions, lesson will be re-scheduled at no extra cost or a full refund will be given.
